These Official Prize Draw Rules apply to all complimentary prize draws conducted by Spark Chemistry Pty Ltd ("Spark Chemistry", "we", "our", or "us") in connection with Spark Chemistry speed dating events.

Participation in the Prize Draw constitutes acceptance of these Rules.

1. Promotion Overview

Spark Chemistry may conduct a complimentary random prize draw at selected speed dating events as a way of thanking participants for attending.

No additional payment is required to enter the Prize Draw beyond the purchase of a valid event ticket.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible, participants must:

  • be at least 18 years of age;

  • hold a valid ticket for the applicable event;

  • comply with the Spark Chemistry Terms & Conditions and Participant Code of Conduct;

  • not have been removed or disqualified from the event.

Employees, contractors and event hosts of Spark Chemistry, and members of their immediate families, are not eligible to enter unless otherwise stated.

3. Entry

Each valid event ticket automatically receives:

One (1) entry into the Prize Draw.

Additional entries cannot be purchased.

Only one entry is permitted per ticket unless Spark Chemistry expressly advertises otherwise.

4. Entry Fee

There is no separate entry fee for the Prize Draw.

Entry is included as part of the event experience.

5. Prize Details

Prizes may include, but are not limited to:

  • restaurant gift cards;

  • café vouchers;

  • movie tickets;

  • event tickets;

  • wine or hamper packages (where lawful);

  • beauty or wellness vouchers;

  • experience vouchers;

  • complimentary admission to a future Spark Chemistry event;

  • sponsor-provided prizes.

Prize details will be announced before or during each event.

6. Winner Selection

The winner will be selected by a random draw conducted by a Spark Chemistry staff member or host.

The draw will normally occur near the conclusion of the event.

All eligible entries will have an equal chance of winning.

7. Claiming the Prize

Unless otherwise stated:

  • the winner must be present at the event to claim the prize;

  • identification may be requested to verify eligibility.

If the selected winner:

  • has already left the venue;

  • cannot be identified;

  • is disqualified;

Spark Chemistry may conduct another random draw.

8. Prize Substitution

Spark Chemistry reserves the right to substitute any advertised prize with another prize of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond our reasonable control make this necessary.

9. Non-Transferable

Prizes:

  • cannot be exchanged for cash;

  • cannot be transferred to another person;

  • cannot be resold by Spark Chemistry.

Any warranties relating to a prize are provided by the manufacturer or supplier where applicable.

Participants who:

  • engage in harassment;

  • behave aggressively;

  • breach venue rules;

  • breach the Participant Code of Conduct;

may be disqualified from the Prize Draw.

11. Public Announcement

The winner's first name and first initial of their surname (for example, Sarah B.) may be announced at the event and, where permitted by law, on Spark Chemistry's social media pages or website.

If you do not wish your name to be published, please notify Spark Chemistry before the event begins. Where legally permissible, we will respect your request.

12. Promotional Photography

The winner may be invited to have a photograph taken with the prize for promotional purposes.

Participation in photographs is entirely voluntary.

Declining a photograph will not affect your eligibility to receive the prize.

13. Prize Availability

Prizes are subject to availability.

If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Spark Chemistry's control, a similar prize of equal or greater value may be awarded.

14. Cancellation of Promotion

Spark Chemistry reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel a Prize Draw if circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent it from being conducted fairly or safely.

15. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spark Chemistry is not responsible for:

  • lost or stolen prizes after collection;

  • defects in prizes supplied by third-party providers;

  • inability to redeem vouchers after their expiry date;

  • tax consequences arising from acceptance of a prize.

Nothing in these Rules excludes any rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

16. Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with the Prize Draw will be handled in accordance with the Spark Chemistry Privacy Policy.

Information will only be used to:

  • verify eligibility;

  • administer the Prize Draw;

  • contact the winner.

17. Fraud & Misconduct

Spark Chemistry reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

  • attempts to manipulate the draw;

  • provides false information;

  • behaves dishonestly;

  • breaches these Rules.

18. Governing Law

These Prize Draw Rules are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

Any disputes arising in relation to the Prize Draw shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
